Madrid, the city which we love like our home city Mumbai. We went to Madrid this time (again!) for 3 days & we stayed at this beautiful hostel called All In Mad Hostel for 2 nights. Here’s a detailed review for the same.
Location
All In Mad Hostel is located in the very heart of Madrid. The location is so good that you will hardly need any public transportation. Madrid is walkable city which means most of its attractions are within a walking distance from each other. There are 2 metro stations near the hostel & few bus stops as well. Getting to/from Train station/Airport is quite easy which makes All In Mad’s location amazing.
Staff of All In Mad Hostel
If I had to describe the staff of All In Mad Hostel in one word, I’ll describe it as lovely. They are there for you 24×7 at the reception. Check-in and check-out happens easily & pay attention to whatever details they are giving about Madrid or any day trips because those minute tips will save your day. You can buy beer/wine from them, leave the luggage or simply chat with them when they are not busy.
Room Quality
We stayed in a private double room for 2 nights. The room was spacious & nicely decorated. There was an ensuite bathroom which was a relief. Beds were nice, everything was very clean & the view from the window was also great! We would have loved to have a temperature control though. If you have a lot of luggage to carry (like us), then you can use their lift for the luggage as well.
Kitchen Quality
I was scared at first because I didn’t see the kitchen in the hostel at all. But then I found it out. All in Mad Hostel has a moderate kitchen with useful utensils to cook. Usually, the kitchen doesn’t stay busy so the size of the kitchen most likely wont affect anything. They also have a free food cabinet, refrigerator, and 2 induction stoves.
Their breakfast is a small spread but enough to fill the tummy. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can get a freshly baked Pizza from the reception for only EUR 5. It’s cheap & it is tasty!
Amenities
All In Mad Hostel has 2 bars. One is near the reception & there is one rooftop bar as well (WOOHOO)! You can simply sit in their beautifully lit common room or their spacious patio & meet other guests. They have good WiFi in place & usable desktops are kept for guests’ use as well.
Don’t miss their pubcrawls & free walking tours. They are quiet fun & you get to meet many like-minded travelers too.
Overall
Madrid usually stays full all around the year & considering the size of Madrid’s center, everyone wants to stay in the center. If you want to stay in the center at a very affordable price, book All In Mad Hostel way in advance because they, too, get full real quick (even if they are a huge hostel).
