Jakson Inns: A Surprisingly Great Hotel in Phaltan

I didn’t know where Phaltan was on the map till last month. Jakson Inns hosted me for 3 days to showcase their hotel & the beautiful sights around Phaltan. Here’s my detailed review on Jakson Inns.

Location

Jakson Inns is located in Phaltan. Phaltan is about 5 hour drive away from Mumbai (250 km) & 2.5 hours away from Pune (110 km). The hotel is located on the highway leading to Pandharpur.

It is easily accessible from Mumbai, Pune, Satara & Baramati. The location is pretty amazing with farms around & it can be spotted easily from the highway itself.

Staff

I was not expecting much from the staff because the hotel is located in the interiors of Maharashtra. I can say this though – I was blown away by the hospitality of Jakson Inns’ staff in a surprisingly pleasant manner.

Staff

Right from the reception to the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff to the Spa person, everyone spoke with confidence, respect & a smile. It seems they created this positive environment around the property with their smiles.

Jakson Inns is a 3 star hotel but its staff is beyond the quality of even 5 star hotels.

Room Quality

Jakson Inns has 69 deluxe rooms, 4 grand suites, 1 ADA compliant room for people with special needs & 1 room on each floor (total 4 rooms) for single female travelers. The rooms for single female travelers are fitted with door cameras which is a good initiative.

Room

I stayed in one of the deluxe rooms. It was luxurious, filled with amenities & filled with food as well. The room had a television, phone, fruits, tea/coffee sachets & a plate of freshly made Bhakarvadis.

The bed was comfortable. One interesting thing happened before coming here. They actually asked me about the preference I have in pillows (soft or hard)! I don’t think any hotel takes care about their guests’ needs like THIS.

Toilet

Room was attached with a spacious bathroom. A lot of toiletries were provided in the bathroom. I stayed here for 2 nights & the quality of sleep I got here was amazing.

Food Quality & Restaurants

When I entered Jakson Inns, I was welcomed with a welcome drink – Sugarcane juice. The surround area grows a lot of sugarcane & hence they are keeping up with the local flavors.

Restaurant Green Bean

Jakson Inns has 2 restaurants – Green Bean & Fulltoon the bar.

Green Bean is a multi-cuisine restaurant & serves really nice food. The restaurant is getting famous among local people as well. Green Bean has an indoor sitting arrangement for lunch & dinner. If you are having a breakfast here, you can also ask the people at the hotel to arrange a table for you in the lawn.

breakfast

Fulltoon is a modern bar with great cocktails & mocktails. The food is also good, but personally I found Green Bean’s food better than Fulltoon. There’s a space to sit inside, outside in the lawn or you can simply call for food in your room.

If you are a big group, they also arrange Karaoke nights, Hukkahs etc. on their 1st floor terrace. The view from here is spectacular.

Other Facilities

Jakson Inns has a banquet hall with a capacity of 150 people. A special conference room for indoor meetings is also available. Apart from that, you can also use their ultra-modern gym. The gymnasium contains all possible equipment necessary for the daily workout. There’s a spa room where you can get some relaxing dry massages. Dattu, the person who takes care of the Spa room, is astonishingly good at his job.

spa

Jakson Inns is planning to extend their Spa facility & also planning to open a swimming pool soon.

Around the hotel, there are several farms of different fruits & vegetables.

Jakson Inns Overall

Jakson Inns is one of the best 3 star hotels I’ve ever been to (Looking at its facilities, it’s not really a 3 star hotel anyway). Everything about this hotel is good & for families living in Mumbai or Pune, it is the perfect weekend getaway destination.
